Bird Watching

The significant areas of native flora, lagoons, the extensive coastline, and the high concentration of migratory birds provide opportunities to observe various species, ranging from common to rare ones.

The many fajãs on the island offer excellent conditions, with Fajã dos Cubres and Fajã dos Tijolos standing out. The two ends of the island, Topo and Ponta dos Rosais, are also privileged locations.
