Hiking Trails

The island has several official trails, clearly marked, with different levels of difficulty, and they can be done independently or with specialized companies that assist with interpretation and safety.

It is one of the most popular ways to explore the beautiful landscapes the island offers, whether along the coast or inland, through a pleasant outdoor walk. This is one of the Azores islands most known for hiking, especially the trails leading to the fajãs, offering unmissable scenic views.
