See and Do

Majestic, long, attractive, and with a unique feature in every corner. Full of mysteries and history, it is the Island of Cheese, but also of cliffs, precipices, and fajãs.

The elongated shape and the rhythmic sequence of cones that characterize its central part have led to it being known as the Dragon Island.

The plateau in the interior of the island, where the volcanic cones that created the island were formed, gives rise to steep and very high slopes that end in the deep blue ocean or in small flat areas at sea level, the famous fajãs of São Jorge, where you can experience many adventures to remember.

One of the greenest islands in the Azores archipelago, São Jorge Island is a true paradise waiting to be discovered, where contact with nature and the sea is a constant.
